I had been toying with this idea for a long time, to start blogging. Now, I think the time has come. This is going to be my personal journal and also a way for my beloved family and friends to keep up with my adventures in nursing school :) I really hope that I can stay with it since I am going to have less than no life for the next year, but I think it's going to be therapeutic.
You might be wondering why I called my blog "surrender." Well, this is going to be by far the most challenging endeavor that I have ever undertaken. For those that know me fairly well, you know that I am neurotic when it comes to school and grades and will agonize endlessly over tests and assignments. Even though I of course want to do well in nursing school, I want it to be because I surrender EVERY LAST THING to God with complete peace, and not because I spend sleepless nights toiling over assignments and worrying and being anxious. I think that I am going to be learning a whole lot about dependence on God through this and I am so grateful for the opportunity.
I won't be able to do this to the glory of God without prayer so I ask that you please pray. I also ask that you pray that I will pray :) that no matter how much work I have, that I will take time to be alone with my Source.
I AM SO EXCITED!!! ( i know that was a bit jarring but I had to let y'all know that :))
I move on Wednesday and classes start Tuesday May 18th.
Let the games begin :)

Nana Love,
ReplyDeleteDid not know that you were starting Nursing School but then again why would I as we have been putting off that lunch now for years. I am very, very, very proud of you and I see that your passion for the medical profession has not dimmed. I will indeed be praying for you and also praying that you pray as you embark on this journey. The Lord has always ordered your steps and this will be no different. I will be checking in with your blog from time to time to see how you are. Remain blessed by him and draw all your strength from his grace.

God Bless you on your journey and your blog. This is indeed an exciting time! The Scrubb family is in your corner and you are in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteAs for the blog, they are great, but can be a lot of work, almost as much as your studies when done correctly. All the best. We are your cheerleaders on the sideline chanting "GO NANA GO!"
So Nana, are you ready? On your mark, get set... GO!
-Anselm, Monique and Liam
So you're moving on Wednesday! The Lord who has kept you strong and healthy up until now, will definitely take you through this journey. He has brought you this far so that He can take you to the next level. Remember that when you see those two footprints in the sand during your difficult times, it is He who is carrying you! Kurt Carr says that God holds us close so we wouldn't let go. All the glory belongs to Him.
